Student Bus Service
  For purposes of easing the commuting tension, this university has signed contract with local bus company, to offer several routes of bus service. Bus Schedules and Route Maps are available in our office or website (http://spirit.tku.edu.tw:8080/tku/file/section2/service/154/bus.htm )
Student Draft Law
  The R.O.C. Constitution, Article 20 stipulates that every male individual of R.O.C. is legally obligated to serve in the military forces.

Male students, who are over 19 years old and are enrolled and whose health condition has been classified to be "A"or "B", pending classification or undergoing a second check-up, should apply for a "huan cheng" (temporary exemption). But with a reserved serviceman status, he should apply for a "Jing-hou-chou-ji" (procrastinated exemption).
Scholarships
  1. Handling scholarships including Day-time and Night-time students.

2. Handling off-campus scholarships sponsored by provincial, city and county level governments; private enterprises.

3. Handling scholarships by Ministry of Education.

4. Handling Tuition waiver, exemption and reduction for students classified as retarded, children of retarded parents, of deceased government workers, teachers, serviced men, aborigines, low-income families.
Student Loan
  The gross annual income of a student and his parents has not exceeded the designated amount. For student whose family has more than two children attending institutions of higher education at the same time, may be eligible for student loan consideration.
Leave of Absence
  For student's convenience of applying leaving, the procedure can be completed via school's website (http://portal.tku.edu.tw/assae/auth/security/system) from any terminal or PC connected to the Internet.

Currently only one-day leave or sick leaves are allowed. Before delivering the leave-form on-line, please make sure all fields are properly filled-in and all data are correct.

For school business leave, leave exceeds two days and leave during the examination week, student should come to the office personally and apply with necessary documents.
Student Insurance
  Objective: To promote the establishment of social security system, to compensate for the students' financial loss due to an accident.
Scope: This insurance program covers death, permanent injury, or hospitalization caused by illness or sudden accidents.
Role-Model Youth Screen
  Students who are excellent both in academic performance and moral behavior and whose average grade totalling 75, with no "fail" in the current school year, and having no punitive record are qualified. He/she should also meet with one of the following minimum requirements:

1. Has done original academic research.

2. Has made substantial contribution in patriotic or pro-Tamkang activities.

3. Has served as leader in any club/organization and has made meritorious performance.

4. Has involved in community affairs, promoted social services with visible results and consequences.
Community Service Education Program
  The Community Service Education Program is implemented to activate diligence, responsibility and to inject a good-will and feedback spirit to Tamkang students. The Program is designed to cover one academic year. Students who are freshmen, transferred students (sophomores in their first-year) are required to take this course. The minimum time required for each semester: 18 hours.

The target of this Education Program is to maintain and ameliorate the quality of the public space used by students as well as offering janitorial service to students' living quarters off-campus. Students who apply for scholarship or work-study grant will be evaluated together with the grade received in this Program, and will be evaluated favorably if he/she receives an excellent grade for this course.

This course is compulsory by nature; it carries zero unit. The passing grade is 60. Those who fail the course will be graded "F", and will have to re-take the course. Only those who have taken two courses in the school year may be able to graduate.
The Dining Advisory Committee
  The Dining Advisory Committee, consisting of students, and staff and faculty members, meets regularly to review comments and concerns expressed by students and to discuss ways in which we can improve the food sanitation around the campus. This is essential to achieve a higher level of customer satisfaction. To have an excellent dining service for our students, we show great concern about the food quality of the cafeterias in the neighborhood . Over the past years, we have cooperated with the Health Department of local government to have regular food sanitary inspection every semester.
